The name Equi-Poise comes from the term “equi” for horse, and “poise” for balance.

It is through this philosophy in horse riding that a true team relationship is developed between horse and rider. 

The principle instructor for Equi-Poise is Terry Wright.  Terry is a classically trained dressage instructor located near Ocala Florida in Silver Springs. Terry provides horse riding lessons, instruction, and guidance across North America.

What are the goals of Equi-Poise?

The main goals of this training system are:

• Achieving freedom of movement and self carriage

• Enhancing performance through better communication by influencing the horse through an elastic connection and body awareness

• Bringing trust & harmony to your equine relationships

• Training that respects the horse’s biomechanics, and emotions

• Enhancing the horse’s natural movement through simple communication to gain the horse’s trust & assist him in learning how to perform with his rider in harmony and balance
